Head of Practice Operations
Job Description:
Role Overview & Purpose
This role sits within the leadership team and is responsible for the day-to-day running of Human Health. It brings together operations, people coordination, systems, administration, marketing delivery, and service support, ensuring the practice runs smoothly and can grow in a steady and sustainable way.
Human Health is an established practice with much already in place. This role focuses on holding, improving, and integrating existing systems while supporting the next phase of growth across practitioners, services, and collaborators.
Core Responsibilities
Practice Management & Operations
Overall responsibility for the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice, including:
Designing, maintaining, and improving operational systems and ways of working
Resource and capacity planning to include rotas, holiday and sickness tracking and cover planning
Developing, implementing, and maintaining policies, procedures and processes
Oversight of systems and tools to ensure they are effective and fit for purpose
Maintaining high standards of data quality, management and reporting
Oversight of key performance indicators, records and issue escalation
Premises and facilities management
Oversight of business subscriptions, licences, and insurances
Service & Delivery Support
Coordination of finance processes, including banking, payroll inputs, month-end reporting, payments, billing queries, and liaison with accountants and bookkeepers
Oversight of pricing services, products and stock ordering systems
Operational management of the Functional Health delivery
Ensuring communications are clear, timely, consistent and aligned with brand values

People & Relationships
Leading and supporting the Chiropractic Assistants and administrative team, fostering a positive, capable, and learning-focused environment
Day-to-day people management with appropriate escalation where required
Internal coordination of HR processes and working with outsourced HR providers
Managing relationships with suppliers, collaborators and external partners
Marketing & Growth
Leading and coordinating the delivery of marketing and education activity across the practice. Holding rhythm, follow-through and accountability for agreed outputs
Supporting growth by translating agreed direction into workable operational systems
Contributing to implementation without owning overall strategy or vision
Authority & Boundaries
Day-to -day operational authority sits within this role
Working closely with the Director, major, contractual or directional decisions require sign-off
Routine Chiropractic Assistant cover is not part of this role and should only occur in genuine contingency situations
Skills, Attributes & Experience
Experience in operations, practice management, or senior administration.
Strong organisational and systems capability.
Comfortable leading people and holding responsibility.
Clear communicator.
Able to prioritise and work independently.
A genuine interest in holistic health and values-led work.
Comfortable operating within a growing business.
